Wiseman Were qualifies for Paris Olympic

Wiseman Mukhobe Were has qualified to the 2024 Paris Olympic after storming to victory with a new Meeting Record at the Absa Kip Keino Classic, a world Athletics Continental Tour-Gold at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.

The 26 year-old exploded to victory in a new Meeting Record of 48.57 and was followed by Kipkorir Rotich was crossed the line in second place in a season best of 50:39 with Edward Ngunjiri sealing the podium three finishes in a season best of 50.84.

“I am happy to have qualified for the Olympics. I had prepared well and it is going to help my preparations for the World Relay Championships,” said Were.
