Vincent Keter to headline Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais

Former World U20 1500m champion Vincent Keter will headline the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais on Saturday (10) in Lievin, France.

The 21 year-old started his season at the second Athletics Kenya Weekend Meeting at Ulinzi Sports Complex, where he finished in second place and went ahead to finish third the following week at the third AK Meet at the Nyayo National Stadium, then he won his first race outside the country at the Metz Moselle Athleor indoor in a time of 3:34.80.

Keter will face-off with World bronze medallist Narve Gilje Nordas of Norway, who comes to this race with a life time best of 3:29.47 that he got last year in Oslo and the 2017 European Indoor 3000m champion, Adel Mechaal from Spain.

Ethiopia’s Teddese Lemi who was fourth in the 1500m with a time of 3:33.59 at the World Championships in Belgrade and European Indoor 1500m bronze medallist Azzedine Habz from France have also been included in the start-line to fight for honors.
