The 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun has once again hung the sold out sign. For the third consecutive year, the race has exhausted its 16,000 available bibs, with three months still to go before its celebration, on January 10, 2027.
The response from runners again highlights the enormous anticipation surrounding one of the calendar’s major events in national running.
The 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun will thus enter its 19th edition with the maximum participation cap reached, after having also sold out its bibs in the 2025 and 2026 editions.
This new sold out underscores the event’s capacity to attract participants, bringing thousands of recreational runners from around the world and hundreds of elite athletes who don’t want to miss the occasion.
“To sell registrations earlier than ever is a huge satisfaction; there is a lot of passion behind it, but above all the solid work of an organization that is the engine of the world’s best 10K. These three months until the second weekend of the year will be frenetic, and our goal will be nothing other than to offer participants and the city the best possible experience in every sense,” Álex Aparicio, race director.
“We are also runners, which is why we want to thank all the entrants who again choose our race to start the year by running, and above all, allow us to keep growing and improving edition after edition,” Aparicio has assured, adding that “not only for the organization but for the city, sponsors, volunteers, suppliers, this represents a huge responsibility and motivation. As many as 16,000 motivations, and therefore 16,000 responsibilities, to keep working so that next January 10 we live another great running celebration in Valencia.”

Although the 10K has already filled its 16,000 spots, runners who want to participate in this major day still have an option: the 5K Valencia Ibercaja, which will also take place on the upcoming January 10, 2027 before the main event.
The 5-kilometer race keeps its registrations open, with bibs still available in its second pricing tier. In this way, those who did not manage to secure a place for the 10K can participate and still enjoy the atmosphere of one of the year’s great sporting events.
Registrations for the 5K will remain open until January 3 or until the available quota for the next edition, set at 2,500 runners, is reached.
A day that will once again bring together thousands of runners
On the upcoming January 10, Valencia will once again become a meeting point for thousands of runners with the joint celebration of the 10K Valencia Ibercaja by Kiprun and the 5K Valencia Ibercaja.
With the 10K fully sold out for the third year in a row and more than three months before the race, the organization is already entering the final stretch of preparations for another edition that will again fill Valencia’s streets with runners.
