TotalEnergies Malaga Half Marathon Surpasses 9,000 Registrants as Price Change Approaches

October 7, 2026

The TotalEnergies 1/2 Marathon Malaga 2027 is on track for a record pace.

The 21-kilometer course through the Costa del Sol’s capital has already surpassed 9,000 entrants and is speeding toward the price change that will take effect as soon as the registration counter exceeds 10,000 participants. Right now, the bib to run in Málaga on March 7 costs 45 euros, and once 10,000 bibs are sold, it will rise to 49 euros.

The excellent pace of registrations confirms the growing appeal of an event that continues to gain prominence among national and international runners. With a limit of 14,000 bibs, the organizers keep pushing toward a new record edition.

One of the race’s main selling points remains its course. Entirely flat, at sea level, and with only four turns in its 21 kilometers, the Málaga circuit has solidified itself as one of the fastest in Europe and a perfect stage for those aiming to improve their personal best.

The records set in recent years back up that reputation. The men’s record continues in the hands of Gilbert Kipkosgei, with a spectacular 58:27, while the women’s best marked time belongs to Loice Chemnung, at 1:05:46. International-class times that reflect the enormous potential of the Málaga route.

Besides its speed, the TotalEnergies 1/2 Marathon Málaga offers the chance to enjoy one of the Mediterranean’s most attractive cities. Its climate, its gastronomy, its cultural offerings, and the atmosphere that envelops race weekend turn the event into a complete experience for thousands of runners each year.
