Timothy Kibet wins Longonot Mountain and Trail Challenge

Timothy Kibet ran away with the men’s title at the Longonot Mountain and Trail Challenge held on Saturday (16) in Naivasha, Nakuru County.

Kibet who hails from Elgeywo Marakwet took the honors in a time of 1:02:04 and was followed in second place by Saoli Selelo in 1:04.05 with Ephantus Njeri wrapping up the podium in 1:04.06.

“The race was hard but I managed to come home to win since I was motivated to face my challenges. I used to compete in road races but I want more of mountain races to give us more challenges,” said Kibet.
