The Oysho San Silvestre Coruña is already preparing its seventeenth edition to bid farewell to the year by running through the streets of the city. The event will take place on Thursday, December 31, 2026, in the afternoon, and its registration period will open this Friday, October 16. Participants can complete their registration through the official event websites, www.sansilvestrecoruna.com and www.championchipnorte.com.
The organizers have set a cap of 5,500 bib numbers for the main race, in addition to 300 spots for the children’s events, 100 for Nordic Walking, and another 100 for the CanSilvestre. Registrations will remain open until 23:59 on December 22 or until all places are filled.
Those who prefer to register in person can do so starting on November 3 at El Corte Inglés on 57 Ramón y Cajal Street, until December 21, as long as bib numbers remain available. Additionally, those interested can benefit from a reduced price until December 10.
The programme for December 31 will begin with the children’s events, which will have four staggered starts at 16:00, 16:15, 16:30 and 16:45 hours. The main race will begin at 17:00 and will feature different starting corrals to organize participants according to their times.
The A corral will be reserved for runners with times under 31 minutes, while corral B will group those who exceed that reference. Next, the CanSilvestre, the Andaina, and the Nordic Walking will take off.
With this range of modalities, the Oysho San Silvestre Coruña aims to bring together both recreational runners and families and enthusiasts of other disciplines, in a day that combines physical activity, festive atmosphere, and tradition.
The race again turns the last day of the year into an opportunity to enjoy sport and close 2026 in a different way. The organizers recommend registering in advance to ensure a place in one of the calendar’s most anticipated popular events in the Coruña area.
