Seville Half Marathon to Be Held on December 13 Following Snap Elections

The Seville Half Marathon arrives for the second time this year, as it moves its usual January date to November. The autumn debut of Sevilla’s 21 km has been affected by the advance of the General Elections announced today by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez; ultimately the Seville Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2026. This is the organization’s full statement:

In the last hours, the announcement of the General Elections being moved forward has been made public, and their date coincides with the initially planned date for the Seville Half Marathon.

Ante esta circunstancia, totalmente ajena a la organización de la prueba, y tras las conversaciones mantenidas con el Ayuntamiento de Sevilla, queremos comunicarte que la próxima edición del Medio Maratón de Sevilla se celebrará finalmente el domingo 13 de diciembre de 2026.

We are aware that this date change may cause inconvenience to some of our participants and we sincerely regret the inconvenience this exceptional situation may generate. This is a necessary decision arising from an unforeseen circumstance unrelated to the organization, with the aim of guaranteeing the proper development of the event and maintaining all the necessary conditions to enjoy our Half Marathon.

Your bib number remains valid

If you are already registered, you do not have to take any action. Your registration and your bib will remain valid for the new date of December 13, 2026.

Can’t participate on December 13?

Given this exceptional change of date, if the new date does not allow you to participate, we have enabled the possibility of transferring your bib to one of the next three editions of the Seville Half Marathon, choosing among the editions planned for November 2027, November 2028 or November 2029.

Requests can be made until October 20, 2026, via your Runner’s Private Area which you can access from your registration confirmation email. If you don’t have it handy, you can request that it be resent from this link:

This possibility is enabled exceptionally due to the date change and will be available only within the indicated deadline.

If this option does not fit your situation, the conditions established in the Official Regulations of the event regarding registration refunds and their respective deadlines remain in effect.

We greatly appreciate your understanding in the face of an extraordinary circumstance that affects us all, and especially your trust and support for the Seville Half Marathon.

Our goal is that, despite this sudden change, we can meet again in the streets of Seville and collectively enjoy a new edition of our race.
