The Sevilla Half Marathon returned for a second time this year, as it moves its usual January date to November. The autumn debut of the 21-kilometer race in Seville has been affected by the election advance announced today by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. Ultimately, the Sevilla Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, December 13, 2026. This is the organization’s full statement:
“In the last hours, the advance of the General Elections has been made public, whose celebration coincides with the date initially planned for the Sevilla Half Marathon.
We are aware that this date change may cause inconveniences to some of our participants, and we sincerely regret the troubles that this exceptional situation may generate. It is a necessary decision arising from an unforeseen circumstance and unrelated to the organization, with the aim of ensuring the proper development of the event and maintaining all the conditions required to enjoy our Half Marathon.
