Samuel Kibathi wins gold for Kenya in Junior U20 Cross Country championships

Africa U20 10,000m bronze medallist, Samuel Kibatha gifted Kenya the second gold medal when he won the 8km U20 Junior Men’s Cross Country championships on Saturday (30) in Belgrade, Serbia.

The 19 year-old who is also the double National Cross Country U20 champion, took the honors in 22:40.

Kibathi was followed in second by Ethiopia’s Megebu Sime in 22:41 with his compatriot Mathew Kipkoech Kipruto sealing the podium three finishes in 22:46
