
The 2019 All-Africa Games 5000m Robert Kiprop, will be the man to watch at the second edition of the Great Chepsaita Cross Country slated for this Sunday (07) at the Chepsaita Secondary school in Uasin Gishu County.
The 28 year-old who is also the reigning Nairobi City Half Marathon champion, is beaming with eagerness after defending his title recently at the Iten Cross Country championships.
Kiprop who knows the course well though there are slight changes on the terrain says he is ready to face his opponents and fight for the top honors.

“I am preparing to win the race. Last year, I had an injury and finished fourth, but this year I am well-prepared for the stiff competition in the senior race. I tested myself during at the third Athletics Kenya Cross Country Series in Iten, I gauged my preparations by defending my title,” said Kiprop.
Kiprop was speaking after collecting his bib number at the Marathon legend, Eliud Kipchoge Sports Complex in Kapsabet, Nandi County.
The process began on Monday, December 2nd, at the Elgeyo Marakwet County offices, with over 600 athletes across various categories picking their running numbers.
The collection process was at the Eldoret Sports Club yesterday but has now moved to Chepsaita for two days to allow all registered runners to collect their bib numbers.
