Olympic champion Peres Jepchichir and double World champion Hellen Obiri will lead Kenya’s stellar cast of the Women’s national team at the forthcoming Paris Olympics slated for July 26, 2024 to Aug 11, 2024 in Paris France.
In the team Obiri the only woman to have won world titles both in indoor track and Jepchichir will team up with former World marathon record holder Brigid Kosgei and the 2019 World Marathon champion, Ruth Chepngetich.
In the team named by Athletics Kenya (AK) to join the duo is the 30 year old 2023 Tokyo marathon champion, Rosemary Wanjiru and the 2022 New York marathon winner and a 10-time All-American & 12-time Big 12 champion Sharon Lokedi.
