Naomy Tuei headlines Nanjing Marathon

The reigning Huai’an Marathon champion, Naomy Chepkorir Tuei will be the lady to watch at the 9th edition of the Nanjing Marathon slated for Sunday (17) in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China.

The 31 year-old who comes to this race with a life time best of 2:27.37 that she got in 2017 at the Valencia marathon, will not have an easy ride as she will face Ethiopia’s Aberu Ayana Mulisa, who comes to this race with the fastest time on paper of 2:20.20 that she got two months ago at the Berlin Marathon, where she finished in fourth place.

The two will also have to get past china’s Zhixuan Li and Li Bai of 2:26.15 and 2:26.33.

The race organisers have assembled a strong field to try and chase the race course record of 2:39.59 set eight years ago by Hellen Wanjiku Mugo from Kenya.
