Betika announced on Monday that Rashid Abdalla Said, a Mombasa resident, is the latest winner of the KES 15,000,000 Midweek Jackpot. The event took place at the Nairobi Serena Hotel.
The 54-year-old, a loyal Betika user for the past five years, saw his persistence and dedication pay off on 25th November when he placed a quick bet and was shocked to discover that he had hit the jackpot. Rashid correctly predicted 15 games with Ksh15 to take home Betika’s Ksh15 Million Midweek Jackpot.
For Rashid, a driver by profession, the exciting news came first from his son, followed by a congratulatory message from Betika, confirming that he had indeed won the jackpot.

Betting has always been an entertaining and calculated pursuit for Rashid, one where he dedicates significant time to analyzing and recording his predictions. However, for his winning bet, he placed it in a rush, as he was called away for an urgent task at work.
“I placed the bet as usual, feeling calm and relaxed, until I noticed that only two games were left. That’s when the excitement hit me. I quickly took a screenshot of the slip and sent it to my son, telling him not to call me until both matches ended exactly as I had predicted. When my son finally called and confirmed the results, and I received the confirmation from Betika, it felt like a dream come true. I couldn’t believe it – I had actually won!” Rashid said.
Rashid’s win comes at the perfect moment, as he had recently applied for a loan to support his son’s dream of studying and working abroad. When placing the bet, he secretly hoped for a miracle – and little did he know, his wish was about to be granted.
In the euphoria following the call from his son and the congratulatory message from Betika, Rashid admitted he couldn’t sleep or eat, overwhelmed with disbelief. Now that the shock has worn off, he plans to deposit his winnings into a fixed account as he carefully considers the best way to make the most of his newfound fortune.
Speaking during the announcement of the newest millionaire in town, Betika Group CEO Mutua Mutava said: “We are thrilled to celebrate Rashid Abdalla Said as our latest winner of the KES 15,000,000 Midweek Jackpot.
This win is a testament to the power of persistence and belief, and we are proud to be a part of Rashid’s life-changing moment. At Betika, we continue to offer opportunities for players to dream big and, like Rashid, turn those dreams into reality. It is wins like this that show the transformative power that we have on people and the community at large that keep us moving. Rashid will now have a chance to support his son’s dream abroad without much hustle. I wish him and his family all the best as they plan on how best to utilize their fortune to ensure they change their lives for good.”
