Mathew Kipksosgei wins Men’s U20 race at Sirikwa Classic on Saturday 3,2024 in Lobo Village Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County

Mathew Kipksosgei beat the defending champion in the Men’s U20 race Samuel Kibathis at the Sirikwa Classic, a World Cross Country Gold tour on Saturday (03) at the Lobo Village in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County.

Kipkoech cut the tape first in 23:32 with Kibathi coming home in second in 23:37 with Charles Rotich finishing in third place in 23:40.

“I have unfinished business with Africa Cross Country Championships. I was to compete in 2020 but it was canceled because of Covid – 19. Though Ethiopians will be a challenge today is an indicator of a good performance in Tunis, said Kipkosgei.

Jonah Erot and Titus Kiprotich finished in fourth and fifth in respective time of 23:52 and 24:01.
