Mary Ngugi headlines RomaOstia Half Marathon

Former world half marathon silver medallist, Mary Wacera Ngugi lived to the race expectations at the 49th edition of the Roma-Ostia Half Marathon held on Sunday (03) in Rome, Italy.

The 35 year-old who is also the 2021 Boston Marathon silver medallist, and came to this race with a life time best of 1:06.29 that she got eight years ago at the Houston Half Marathon, took the top honors in a time of 1:07.38 and was followed by Ethiopia’s Mulat Tekle Godu who came home in second place in a time of 1:07.41 with Caroline Korir sealing the podium three finishes in 1:09.01.
