Lechera Asturiana Women’s Race in Zaragoza 2026: Registration Opens

The Central Lechera Asturiana Women’s Race will once again take to the streets of Zaragoza on Sunday, November 8. Starting this Wednesday, September 2, all women who wish to be part of one of the most crowded and special dates on the city’s sports calendar will be able to complete their registration through the official race website.

The Zaragoza race will be the seventh stop on the 2026 national circuit, after taking place in Gran Canaria, Madrid, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Valencia and Gijón, and the event planned in A Coruña on September 27. After its visit to the Aragonese capital, the circuit will move on to Seville, on November 15, and will close the season in Barcelona on November 22.

Zaragoza will thus once again become the stage for a major sporting day that will bring together women of very diverse profiles and ages. Participants will be able to complete the course by running or walking alongside friends, family and colleagues, in an event that promotes physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits, while advocating for the role of women and giving visibility to different social causes.

The city faces this new edition after a historic turnout in 2025, when the Women’s Race brought together 15,000 participants, solidifying itself as one of the circuit’s most attended events.

The entity, which in 2026 marks ten years, works to ensure that no woman faces her recovery process alone. Thus, among its main initiatives is the Mentoras-Acompañantes program, based on peer support, to which actions of psychological care, prevention, awareness and training are added. The association will also be present at the Feria de la Corredora, where participants can learn about its work up close.

Additionally, as in recent editions, 100% charity bib numbers will be sold in favor of AMAC-GEMA, the Association of Aragonese Women with Genital and Breast Cancer.

The Women’s Race remains committed to health, research, and the rights of women. In 2025, the circuit allocated 20% of registration income to social causes, a commitment that continues in 2026, and whose data can be consulted on its transparency portal.

The national circuit surpassed last year the historic figure of 1,500,000 participants accumulated since its creation in 2004, establishing itself as Europe’s largest women’s sports event. A trajectory that continues to grow on the same structural social commitment that has accompanied it since its origin, present in every edition through its support for health, breast cancer research, women’s rights, and the fight against gender-based violence.
