Kilian Jornet Knee Update After Surgery: Latest News

October 29, 2026

Kilian Jornet has already begun recovering from the procedure that was scheduled this week on his left knee. The NNormal athlete has wished to share on his social networks how the intervention went and how he is approaching the recovery:

<<During the season I had some knee pain that didn’t really go away, and after a while it became clear that training wasn’t the solution, so we decided to fix it properly. The operation happened this week, it went well, and I feel good.>>

Now comes the slow part. I wrote some time ago about returning from an injury, and the lesson I will have to keep in mind is the simplest: get healthy first, then get in shape, and only after that prepare for what you want to do next.

So for now the plan isn’t really a plan: sleep, eat well, move what I can without irritating the knee, and let it heal at its own pace.

@compex is proving useful to keep the muscles functioning while the leg can’t do much on its own.

The skis are already waiting and I am eager to start moving again in the mountains.>>
