World 800m silver medallist Emmanuel Wanyonyi set a World Leading time as cruised to the two lap race at the Kip Keino Classic, a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya.
Wanyonyi returned 1:43.57 for the world lead as compatriot African champion Aaaron Chemngwa posted his personal best time in 1:44.10 to finish second.
Olympic silver medalist Ferguson Rotich was second in 1:44.90 to beat Gyulai Istvan Memorial, World Athletics Continental Tour Gold, in Szekesfehervar, Hungary, 800m winner Nicholas Kebenei intothird spot in 1:45.40 to both post their season’s best times.
