Kenya names Paris Olympic Women’s Marathon Team

Peres Jepchirchir headlines Ras Al Khaimah Half-Marathon

Athletics Kenya (AK) has named Kenya’s Women Marathon team for the forthcoming Paris Olympics slated for July 26, 2024 to Aug 11, 2024 in Paris France.

The deep elite team of six gallant women, will be led by the defending champion, Peres Jepchirchir, who is more than ready to defend her title.

Jepchirchir will tag along the Tokyo marathon silver medallist, Brigid Kosgei, the only woman to have won world titles in indoor track, outdoor track and cross country, Hellen Obiri and the 2019 World Marathon champion, Ruth Chepngetich.

Other medal hopefuls include former Tokyo marathon champion, Rosemary Wanjiru and former New York marathon champion Sharon Lokedi.
