
Tokyo Olympic 200m silver medallist, Kenny Bednarek kicked off his season in style as he edged out the three time world champion, Christian Coleman at the Miramar Invitational on Saturday (06) in Miramar, Spain.
The 25 year-old who took off the mark slower, managed to outperformed Coleman on the curve, seized the lead and maintained his pace and comfortably beat the double World Indoor 60m champion in a 2.8m/s headwind, crossing the finish line first in 20.35 with the double Diamond League winner coming home in second in 20.43seconds.

Rio Olympics 4×400m relay silver medallist, Rusheen McDonald from Jamaica closed the podium three in 21.09seconds.
Budapest 4×100m relay bronze medallist, Ryiem Forde of Jamaica and Pan American Games 4×100 m relay bronze medallist, Demarius Smith from United States finished in fourth and fifth place in respective time of 21.19 and 21.36 seconds.
