Kenenisa Bekele, the man to watch at NYC Half Marathon

Three times Olympic champion, Kenenisa Bekele will be the man to watch at the 18th edition of the New York City Half Marathon slated for Sunday 17, 2024 in New York City.

Bekele who is regarded as the greatest distance runners in history, returns to New York with ambitions of victory and will face the United States Olympic Team Trials – Marathon national champion, Conner Mantz, who will be making a debut over the distance and former USA 10,000m national champion, Clayton Young.

The three have been put together to chase the race course record of 59:24 set 17 years ago by the greatest long distance runner in history, Haile Gebrselassie of Ethiopia.
