Coros has announced the addition of Keely Hodgkinson to its international team of athletes. The British runner, one of the leading figures in middle-distance worldwide, will use the brand’s technology to deepen the analysis of her training and pursue new improvements in her performance. Hodgkinson, 24, conquered the gold medal in the 800 meters at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, after having won silver in Tokyo. She also holds the world indoor record for the distance. Her arrival strengthens Coros’ presence in international athletics and, particularly, its commitment to high-performance athletics from a female perspective. The Olympic champion joins a team that already includes athletes such as Eilish McColgan, Sara Alonso, Emelie Forsberg and Emma Bates.
Keely Hodgkinson will train with the Coros Pace 4
The British athlete will incorporate the Coros Pace 4 watch and the Coros heart-rate monitor into her training. These tools will allow a more detailed tracking of her high-intensity sessions, review the evolution of her training, and detect small improvements that can later transfer to competition. Data analysis will play a significant role at a stage in which Hodgkinson continues pursuing one of athletics’ greatest challenges: the outdoor women’s 800 meters world record, a mark that has stood for more than four decades.

A heart-rate monitor designed to be worn on the arm
One of the tools the Olympic champion will use is the COROS heart-rate monitor. This device measures heart rate from the upper arm and is presented as an alternative to traditional chest straps. Heart rate allows monitoring the intensity of a session, managing fatigue, and understanding the body’s response to different efforts. However, chest straps can be uncomfortable during long or high-intensity trainings, especially when worn with a sports bra. The Coros model places the sensor on the arm and uses a soft, elastic, and adjustable fabric strap. Its design aims to keep the device stable during exercise without restricting the movement of the person wearing it. The heart-rate monitor incorporates a multi-channel optical sensor to record data and presents a low-profile design intended to reduce discomfort during physical activity.
More than 38 hours of autonomy
The COROS heart-rate monitor offers more than 38 hours of battery life and includes an automatic usage-detection system. It also allows maintaining a simultaneous connection with up to three compatible devices via Bluetooth, regardless of the manufacturer. The heart-rate band is already part of the training of other athletes linked to Coros. Among them are Jakob Ingebrigtsen, who owns a Fearless special edition of the device, and Kilian Jornet, who uses it to analyze his body’s response in both intense sessions and long-duration efforts.
Price of the COROS heart-rate monitor
It retails for 89 euros and can be purchased in the brand’s online store and authorized distributors. The device is marketed in different colors and sizes, in addition to the Fearless Jakob Ingebrigtsen edition. With the addition of Keely Hodgkinson, Coros welcomes to its team one of the most recognized athletes of her generation. The Brit combines her track results with a personality and style of her own that have broadened her influence beyond athletics.
