The Kenyan John Korir signs with Coros through to the Los Angeles Olympic Games 2028. The marathoner will rely on the brand’s watches and its app to prepare for his upcoming targets, in a deal that broadens Coros’ footprint among elite long-distance athletes on the global circuit.
Korir has established himself as one of the premier specialists in the distance. In 2024 he claimed the Chicago Marathon title and subsequently secured back-to-back victories in Boston, in 2025 and 2026, including the event’s course record of 2:01:52 in its most recent edition.
The Kenyan also knows what it takes to win in Spain. In December 2025 he triumphed at the Valencia Marathon with 2:02:24, his official personal best, and he will defend that same race title again this year.
The agreement with Coros also focuses attention on Los Angeles 2028, although Korir will have to earn a place on Kenya’s competitive Olympic team. Until then, the objective will be to maintain his position among the world’s best marathoners.
