Japan based Hellen Ekalale wins Olkalou Cross

Hellen Ekalale took the top honors at the sixth leg of the Betika-Athletics Kenya Cross Country Series, held on Saturday (14) at the Cardinal Otunga High School- Mosocho in Olkalou Arboretum.

The 25 year-old who is based in Japan led from gun to tape when she took the honors in 35:53.1 and was followed in second place by Christine Njoki Nalimo in 36:26.1 with Joylin Cherotich finishing in third place in 37:13.1.

South Rift’s Faith Cherono and Naomi Jeptoo Kemboi from Central Rift came home in fourth and fifth place in respective time of 37:50.5 and 37:56.3
