Jakob Ingebrigtsen runs away with his first World Indoor title in Ninjing

Olympic 5000m gold medallist Jakob Ingebrigtsen finally became a World Indoor Championships in the men’s 3000m race at the ongoing championships being held in Nanjing, China.

The ever green ran a scintillating race as he battle world 5km record holder, Berihu Aregewa of Ethiopia as the two exchanged positions in the home straight but the character of hunger for more from the 24 year-old, who carried the day as he over-powered the Ethiopian to cross the finish first in 7:46.09 with the latter left with other option but to settle in second place sixteen seconds later.

Double Australian National Record holder Ky Robinson won his first medal for his country over the distance as he sealed the podium three places in 7:47.09.
