Athletics Kenya (AK) will hold the National Trials for the World Athletics Relays on April 6, 2024 at the Nyayo National, that will lead to naming of team Kenya that will represent the country at the global event scheduled to take place from May 4- 5, 2024 in Nassau, Bahamas.

The trials which were initially scheduled for April 11 – 13, 2024 at the same venue, have been brought forward to allow for the relay teams to qualify for the world meet within the qualification period.

The invite only event will be based on the 2024 World Athletics Top list and compliance with all anti-doping requirements.

AK will also invite teams from other countries to compete in the relay events.

Events on schedule include:

  1. 4x100m men and women
  2. 4x400m men and women
  3. 4x400m Mixed Relay.

The above changes have affected the fourth AK Track & Field Weekend meeting, initially planned for April 5 – 6, 2024, in Kisii, which will now be held on April 12 – 13, 2024 at a venue to be communicated later.
