Anderson Seroi wins Hong Kong Marathon

Kenya’s Anderson Saitoti Seroi took the top honors at the 27th edition of the Hong Kong Marathon held on Sunday (21) in Hong Kong, China.

The 30 year-old who is also the reigning Changan Automo Chongqing Marathon champion took the honors in a time of 2:12.50 and was followed by South Africa’s Stephen Mokoka in 2:12.59 with Mekuant Ayenew of Ethiopia closing the podium three finishes 2:13.09.

Three more Kenyans led by Vincent Kibor Raimoi,Victor Kipchirchi and Michael Githae finished in fourth, fifth and sixth place in respective time of 2:13.22, 2:13.47 and 2:14.00.

In the women category Ethiopia’s Medina Armino beat Kenya’s Beatrice Cheptoo when she cut the tape first in 2:23.23 and was followed by the Cheptoo in 2:29.31 with her compatriot Gadise Mulu sealing the podium the in 2:29.46.
