The frenzy for running marathons and, above all, for being present at the Majors shows no signs of slowing down. One of the most coveted is Tokyo, which opened yesterday its window to sign up for the general lottery to win one of the bib numbers. You can sign up until 5:00 PM on August 28 in Japan time (10:00 AM in Spain). The results will be announced on September 18, and afterward you have until September 30 to pay for your spot or you lose it (it’s not like in New York, where if you enter the drawing and are drawn, the bib price is charged directly to your card).
The bib for runners residing in Japan is priced at 19,800 yen (about 107 euros), while runners coming from abroad must pay 197 euros. This amount can be added, optionally, with the cost of the wardrobe service.
