
Olympic and world champion Grant Holloway kicked off his 2025 Indoor season opener with a commanding win at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, the third leg of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold, on Sunday (02) in Boston.
The 27 year-old who is also the world record holder over the distance, took the honors with the second-fastest time in the world this year of 7.42 seconds as he extended his winning streak to 65 consecutive indoor races.

“It’s just about building a legacy. I have been doing this for so long. I have accomplished all my goals. It’s just about motivating the youth and continuing to build whatever I need to. I don’t want to be the greatest of all time. When people start calling themselves that, they get worse,” said Holloway.
The three time world champion was followed in second place by Jakub Szymański from Poland who set a National Record of 7.41 with Olympic and world finalist Fred Crittenden sealing the podium in 7.54.
