This morning, more than 10,000 runners took part in the 2026 Derbi de las Aficiones. The derby of good vibes. The healthy rivalry and sportsmanship. The one where Indians and Vikings defend their colors as they run through the streets of Madrid.
A 10-kilometer derby, starting near the Bernabéu (Padre Damián Street) and finishing at the Paseo de los Melancólicos, where the aroma of great red-and-white nights still lingers. An ideal setting to decide which fan base is the best in the capital, at least as far as running goes.
And in this setting, Rodrigo Mendoza became the absolute king of this edition of the Derbi de las Aficiones® AliExpress Marcas+ Chuwi. Dominant from start to finish and running solo, he shattered the record of the event, previously held by Alejandro Jiménez, with a spectacular finish time: 28:16. The podium was completed by the two-time winner of the Derby, Nicolás Regidor (29:05), and Sergio Salinero (29:16).
In the women’s race, Carla Martínez prevailed representing the Vikings. Her finish time was 33:16, followed by Laura Martínez Cabañas (33:39) and Nadine López (34:39). A completely white podium that boded well for the Vikings’ overall result.
The Vikings’ Tenth Title
Because here there are not only two winners. That is the magic of the Derbi de las Aficiones® AliExpress Marcas+ Chuwi, where every participant, regardless of their brands, can achieve victory and become the stars of this match. And indeed all runners, upon registering, choose a side: Indians or Vikings. It is an individual race, but each participant’s time counts. And the team that achieves the lowest average time takes the title.
There the champions were the Vikings, who, with an average time of 51:12, narrowly edged out some combative Indians to seal their “Tenth”.
