Africa’s fastest man in 100m Ferdinand Omanyala will start his season at the Meeting Indoor Miramas slated for February 2, 2024 at the Indoor Stadium in Miramas Métropole, France.
The 28 year-old who is also the reigning Commonwealth Games 100m champion, will head back to Miramas where he equaled his Kenyan National record in 60m race when he took the silver medal in 6.60 behind the former Africa record holder over the distance Arthur Cisse of Cote d’vore, who took the honors in 6.57.
The one time Diamond League winner, will have to get past Cisse, who comes to this race with the fastest time on paper of 6.54 that he got five years ago in Germany. Great Britain’s Andrew Robertson who shares the same time as Cisse and his compatriot Adam Thomas of 6.56 have also been rolled in to battle for honors with the Kenyan.
