Femke Bol breaks World Indoor 400m Record

Double World 400m champion Femke Bol setting a new world record at the ongoing World Athletics Indoor Games being held in Glasgow, Germany.

The 24 year-old who had earlier this year improved on her own world record, delivered a breathtaking performance with her exceptional speed as she went through the halfway mark at 200m in an astonishing 23.5 seconds with her compatriot, Lieve Klaver on the chase.

The Tokyo 400m hurdles bronze medallist, showcased her dominance by accelerating in the last 100m, storming to victory with the new world record time of 49.17.

The three time Diamond League champion was followed by Klaver in second place in 50.16 with United States Alexis Holmes wrapping up the third podium places in 50.24.
