
Ethiopian swept the podium in the women 5000m race at the ongoing 13th edition of the All-African Games in Accra, Ghana.
The team was led by the reigning World U20 5000m champion Medina Eisa who won the gold medal in 15:04.32 and was followed by the 18 year, Birtukan Molla who took silver in 15:05.32 with World U20 5000m silver medallist, Melknat Wudu sealing the podium three finishes in 15:07.04.
World 3,000m steeplechase record holder Beatrice Chepkoech and the lone Kenyan representative in the race finished a distant fourth in 15:13.71 with Burundian Francine Niyomukunzi coming home in fifth place in 15:33.17.
