Former Africa U20 3000m steeplechase champion, Emmanuel Wafula took the top honors at the 49th edition of the Roma-Ostia Half Marathon held on Sunday (03) in Rome, Italy.
The 19 year-old who was making his debut over the distance led 1 and 3 Kenyan podium finish, cut the tape first in a highly contested race in 1:01.10 and was followed by Ethiopia’s Bayelign Teshager who finished in second place one second later with Kipsambu Kimakal wrapping up the podium three finishes in 1:01.20.
