Emily Kipchumba wins Rochelle Marathon

Kenya’s Emily Chebet Kipchumba took the top honors in the women’s race at the 33rd edition of the Marathon de La Rochelle held on Sunday (24) in La Rochelle, France.

The 26 year-old that controlled the entire race, took the honors in 2:27.55 and was followed in second place five minutes later by Ethiopia’s Yeneabeba Ejigu in 2:33.44 with Shailah Kipsiror from Kenya wrapping up the podium in 2:34.22.

France’s Mathilde Sagnes and Emilie Lasserre finished in fourth and fifth place in respective time of 2:42.52 and 2:45.45.
