But I’m Still the King: Jakob Ingebrigtsen Crowned European 5,000m Champion

Jakob Ingebrigtsen had been out of competition for almost a year and has returned in a big way. The Norwegian has been crowned the European champion in the 5000 metres, defending a title that has borne his name since Berlin 2018.

The silver went to the German Florian Bremm, while the French Etienne Daguinos took bronze. Ingebrigtsen thus preserves his continental reign: he does not know what it’s like to lose an outdoor European Championship.
