Kenya’s Brian Kwemoi Kirui equaled the men’s race course record at the Tenth edition of the Napoli City Half Marathon, on Sunday (25) in Napoli, Italy.

The 24 year-old who has a busy spring campaign and came to this race with the fastest time ever ran on Beijing soil of 59:37, set last year, led a 1-2-3 Kenyan podium finish when he took the honors in a new personal best of 59:26 as he equaled the course record time set last by European 10,000m champion, Yeman Crippa of Italy.

Kirui who will be heading to Lisbon Half Marathon in March and then take part in marathon pacing duties in April, was followed by Anthony Kimtai who on his debut in Lisbon last year ran 1:00.30, improved on his time to cross the finish line in second place in a new personal best of 59:45 with Bernard Kipkurui Biwott, who at just 21 had a half marathon best of 59:44, wrapping up the podium three finishes in 59:47.
