Born Goes Running: We Test Women’s Running Collection

November 2, 2026

BORN already featured in its collections garments that could accompany us both in our gym workouts and when we went out for a run, and in fact some of them had already passed through our tests. However, before the arrival of summer, coinciding with those first weeks when temperatures began to rise in Spain, the brand took a step further by presenting a line conceived specifically for running and designed to meet the needs of female runners.

Over the last few months I have been able to use four of its pieces, the Top Voltrun, the Short Voltrun, the Nyx T-shirt and the Run belt, and to do so as the thermometer rose, an especially interesting scenario to evaluate issues that gain even more importance when running in heat, such as sweat evacuation, breathability, the weight of the garments when moisture accumulates, or their ability to stay in place throughout the workout.

Top BORN Voltrun: high support without limiting movement

As we know, but it’s worth repeating, the chest is subjected to multidirectional movement during running, so support is one of the most important technical aspects when choosing running gear and also one of the most personal, since not all of us need the same level of support or have the same morphology.

The Top Voltrun is conceived as a high-support model and uses Shape_Tech fabric, with four-way elasticity, to achieve a firm structure that accompanies movement without limiting the arm swing. The athletic back frees the shoulders and scapulae, and the adjustable rear closure allows fairly precise contour adjustment, something especially interesting when seeking support during long sessions, where a small poorly distributed pressure can end up becoming an annoyance.

In running, the sensation it has left me is exactly what I look for in this type of garment: it holds you in a lot, but you don’t have the constant feeling of wearing a high-support garment. It remains stable, I haven’t needed to reposition it during workouts and the fabric maintains a good balance between firmness and elasticity even as humidity increases.

It also includes removable cups and the brand itself recommends selecting a size larger than usual for this model, a guideline worth bearing in mind given its especially snug construction.

Short BORN Voltrun: stability and storage well addressed

In the Voltrun shorts we find a 2-in-1 construction, with an extremely lightweight outer short and an inner mesh also made with Shape_Tech, that provides fit and support without sacrificing mobility.

What stands out most is its stability. The inner mesh does not ride up with movement, while the high, elastic waistband stays in place without needing to adjust as the kilometers pass. It may seem minor, but in racing it can become a nightmare if not well resolved.

And another strong point is its storage capacity. The side pocket integrated into the inner mesh allows you to keep the phone pressed close to the body, significantly reducing its movement during the run, while the two zippered side pockets on the outer shorts let you store keys, gels, or other small items you want to carry during training. This distribution is especially practical because it helps spread what you carry rather than concentrating all the weight in one spot.

Camiseta BORN Nyx: a few grams for the hottest days

The Nyx T-shirt has probably been the garment that has made the most sense as summer progressed. Its construction is very lightweight, with a short cut and a technical fabric designed to evacuate moisture quickly, something I’ve particularly appreciated during workouts with high temperatures.

The sensation during the run is cool and very non-intrusive, with a fabric that does not gain excessive weight as we sweat nor clings uncomfortably to the body. When it comes to running in heat, that ability to manage moisture is much more relevant than the mere sense of lightness you might feel when picking up a shirt.

There is also a very practical detail I have used more than once: if during training the heat tightens and you decide to take it off, it folds up to a very small size and fits perfectly in the belt I’ll talk about a little later, so you don’t have to end up running several kilometers with the T-shirt in your hand.

Its short cut also works especially well with the high waist of the Voltrun shorts, leaving a light kit with plenty of freedom of movement for training on the hottest days.

Belt Run: capacity without unnecessary movement

For sessions where we need to increase capacity, the Belt Run completes the collection with a light and, above all, adjustable solution, important because it allows the belt to adapt to each runner’s contour and be worn tight enough to reduce movement of what we carry without becoming uncomfortable.

Cinturón BORN Run

It is made with elastic and durable fabric and features a main zipped compartment and side pockets, a layout that allows you to organize your phone, keys, gels… and access them easily during the workout. The fit also lets you decide at what height it feels most comfortable to wear, especially useful when paired with high-waisted pants.

Additionally, it has a fairly compact form, so it’s useful both for a short workout where you simply need to carry a phone and keys and for a longer run where you add several gels. You can adjust the capacity to what you really need to carry without the feeling of running with a bulky accessory on your waist.

Belt Run price: €29.90

BORN also maintains one of the brand’s hallmarks that has accompanied the company since its beginnings, a very carefully crafted design, but in this collection the aesthetics are backed by functional decisions that make sense when garments start to move, sweat, and accumulate hours with us.
