Boaz Kipkemei takes silver as Amanal Petros breaks the course record in Hannover

Kenya’s Boaz Kipkemei was beaten to second place by the race defending champion Amanal Petros at the 32nd edition of the Hannover Marathon on Sunday (14) in Hannover, Germany.

Kipkemoi crossed the finish line in second place in 2:07.06 with the German National, defending his title as he trashed his own course record time of 2:07.20, set last year, with a new time of 2:06.05.

Victor Kiplimo also from Kenya closed the podium in 2:09.58.

Kenya’s Hammington Kimaiyo Cherop and Jackson Kemboi Rutto finished in fourth and fifth place in respective time of 2:12.01 and 2:12.12.
