Beatrice Chepkoech to battle seven Ethiopians at Meeting Pas de Calais

World 3000m steeplechase record holder, Beatrice Chepkoech will battle for the top honors at the 30th edition of the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais slated for this evening at the at Arena Stade Couvert in Liévin, France.

The 32 year-old who is also the reigning World silver medallist, will not have an easy ride as she will have to get past seven Ethiopians led by the reigning world 1500m indoor champion, Hirut Meshesha, world indoor 800m silver medallist, Freweyni Hailu,  world 1500m silver medallist, Diribe Welteji and World U18 Mile record holder Birke Haylom.

Others are double world 1500m silver medallist, Axumawit Embaye and the 2018 Africa 800m bronze medallist, Habitam Alemu and the 2021 world U20 20 5000m champion Mizan Alem.
