Asbel Rutto destroys the Rome Marathon course record

Kenya’s Asbel Rutto destroyed the race course record at the 39th edition of the Acea Run Rome The Marathon held on Sunday (17) in Rome, Italy.

Rutto who cut off over three minutes from his previous personal best, was followed in second a distant latter by Brian Kipsang in 2:07.55 with Sila Kiptoo sealing the podium in 2:08.08.

Reuben Narry and Isaac Cheluko made sure that Kenyans took all the top five positions when they came home in fourth and fifth place in respective time of 2:09.09 and 2:09.24,
