World U20, 5,000m champion Andrew Alamisi, will be targeting a second victory at Iten at the third leg of Athletics Kenya Cross Country, slated on Saturday 2, 2024 at the Iten Sports Grounds in Elgeyo Marakwet.
The 17 year-old won the second leg at Kapsokwony Cross Country last weekend after clocking 23:57 and was followed in second by Cornelius Kipkosgei in 23:57 with Edwin Elkana wrapping up the podium three finishes in 24:09.

“Emerging victorious here in Iten will mean a lot to me because the field will be highly competitive and it will enable have a proper analysis of my body and know what I need to improve before my big race next month,” said Alamisi.
Alamisi who had gone to collect his running number, has been working on his speed work and feels that this race, will be good to test his competitive spirit among the seniors ahead of his scheduled race in Rome mid next month.
