Africa’s fastest man Kenya’s Ferdinand Omanyala surrendered the Kip Keino Classic title, a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Nairobi.
Omanyala who is the Africa 100m record holder timed 10.3 to finish fifth behind to the Olympics and World silver medalist American Kenneth Bednarek, the winner of the race.
Bednarek timed 9.91 to victory ahead of the African Games bronze medalist Liberian Emmanuel Matadi, second in 9.99 as the European 4x100m relay champion Briton Jeremiah Azu was third in 10.00.
