
Ethiopia’s Ebsite Tilahun Asres has been banned by Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) for two years for the Presence of a Prohibited Substance (Triamcinolone acetonide), which is a violation of the World Anti-doping Rules.
The 23 year-old was caught in December last year at the Nanning Marathon in China, where she was nabbed by the hawked eyed World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) officials in Beijing, after providing urine Sample In-Competition.

Asres admitted on 31 October 2024, that she had violated the Anti-Doping Rule Violation and accepted the Consequences set out in the Notice of Charge and slapped with two years commencing on 3 June 2024 (the date of Provisional Suspension); and disqualification of her results since 3 December 2023, with all resulting Consequences, including the forfeiture of any titles, awards, medals, points, prizes and appearance money.
