World 10km Record holder, Agnes Ng’etich ran the second fastest Half Marathon of all time at the 18th edition of the Valencia Half Marathon on Sunday (27) in Valencia, Spain.
The 23 year-old who making her debut over the distance and has been out due to a nagging injury, wrote history when she became the woman to run 10km under 29 minutes, when taking the honors last year in a time of 28:46.

The 2023 World Cross Country bronze medallist, made her intent known when she went through the 5km mark in 14:39 and 10km in 29:18 but dropped the tempo in the closing stage and cutting the tape in a New Kenyan National Record of 1:03.04 and was by Ethiopia’s Fotyen Tesfay in a new personal best of 1:03.21 with another Kenyan debutant Lilian Kasait Rengeruk wrapping the podium in a time of 1:03.32.
The three moved to No.2, No.3 and No.4 on the world all-time rankings.
