Africa Games: Its Gold and silver for Kenya in 1500m race

Kenya’s Brian Komen lived up to his expectations as he stormed to victory to take gold in the men’s 1500m race on day five at the ongoing 13th edition of the All-Africa Games in Accra, Ghana.

The 25 year-old led a 1-3 Kenyan position as he won gold in a time of 3:39.19 and was followed in second place by former World U20 800m champion, Ermias Girma Shire of Ethiopia in 3:39.40 with his compatriot, the world Indoor 1500m bronze medallist, Abel Kipsang closing the podium three finishes in 3:39.45.

Former world U20 1500m silver medallist, Wegene Addisu Chala of Ethiopia and japan based Abraham Guem from South Sudan finished in fourth and fifth in respective time of 3:39.54 and 3:41.05.
