Commonwealth Games champion Kenya’s Abraham Kibiwott set a 3000m steeplechase World Leading time at the 2024 Kip Keino Classic on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya.
Kibiwott returned 8:20.54 to successfully defend the Kip Keino Classic Meet title ahead of the World under 20 champion Amos Serem (8:21.40) in second place.
The 2023 secondary schools winner Mathew Kosgei was third in 8:23.84 while the Kenya Defence Forces championships 3000m steeplechase medalist Wesley Langat was fourth (8:26.04)
