Before placing it in a very special spot at home, the New York City Marathon medal can give you many advantages. With it you can score a free hamburger at any Shake Shack location, gain free entry to the Natural History Museum (the one from the film “Night at the Museum”), or go up for free to “The Edge,” one of the city’s most impressive skyscrapers.
This year the NYC Marathon medal will also let you board the plane first. The airline Delta has prepared the “Marathoners Zone 1,” which on Sunday the 1st and Monday the 2nd, from the two major New York airports, John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia, will grant priority boarding to finishers of the 42,195 kilometers.
