It takes place on December 13 in Madrid and on Sunday the 20th in Barcelona. Let’s look at the details of the two major corporate running events in our country.
Barcelona
On December 13, the Quirónprevención Cursa de les Empreses de Barcelona returns to action. With a start and finish at Fira de Barcelona, this event will offer two distances, both featuring fast, completely flat routes that run along the broad avenues of the city’s financial district. In addition, the event will boast a standout feature: 3 kilometers of the route will take place inside the Fira Barcelona complex.
Last year, with 4,000 runners and 215 represented companies, the atmosphere was festive and spectacular, and this year the organizers aim to surpass it.

Madrid
The pioneer. This year the Carrera de las Empresas marks its coming of age on December 13. In this very special edition, this grand celebration of sport, health, and business aims to surpass last year’s record numbers on December 13, with 30,000 participants in total representing 1,614 companies.
Mantains its essence as a team event, where all participants compete in teams of 2, 3 or 4 members (male, female or mixed). In addition to choosing the work colleagues who will accompany you in the race, you must also choose the distance. 5 or 10 kilometers, that is the question.
La salida coincidente de ambas carreras se mantiene en Paseo de la Castellana, en pleno corazón financiero de la capital. Será a partir de ese punto cuando comienzan las novedades, con un recorrido completamente reformado para mejorar la experiencia de carrera para todos los corredores.
De esta manera, se ascenderá por el Paseo de la Castellana hasta la Plaza de Cuzco, donde los participantes de ambas distancias sumarán kilómetros por las calles Alberto Alcocer, Príncipe de Vergara o Vitruvio.
Será al volver a Paseo de la Castellana cuando ambas pruebas se bifurquen, entrando directamente en meta los participantes en la carrera de 5 kilómetros. Por su parte, los que afronten los 10 kilómetros tendrán mucho trabajo por hacer, descendiendo por Paseo de la Castellana hasta Cibeles, y remontando posteriormente para reencontrarse con el resto de sus compañeros en la meta en Plaza San Juan de la Cruz.
En Carrera de las Empresas se compite por equipos, no de forma individual. La única excepción viene de la mano de los autónomos, que tendrán su categoría propia en ambas distancias, para poner en valor tu esforzada labor diaria y la importancia que tienen en el tejido empresarial de la capital.
