After 15 years, it has become the most fun, sporty, and family-friendly way to kick off Christmas in Madrid. We’re still in summer, but you can already secure your spot for the El Corte Inglés Santa Claus Race, which returns to the streets of Spain’s capital on December 20. It’s amazing the great red-and-white tide that is created with the outfits of the Santa runners from Corredores. Remember that children under 12 dress as green and white elves. The race distance is 4 km.
To ensure every detail is covered, the race opens with Santa Claus in his sleigh, and at the finish it’s available for the little elf runners to hand him their letters and take photos with him.
The El Corte Inglés Santa Claus Race will once again partner with Red Cross, and in this edition €1 of every registration will go toward the “FIRST INFANCY” project, a program that encompasses a set of actions aimed at supporting families facing social vulnerability so that parents, mothers, and/or grandparents who are raising and educating children aged 0 to 6 years can meet the needs of parenting at this stage.
